Pianist, composer, arranger, and educator Marc Stasio actively produces scores for hire, serves as jazz faculty, and has performed abroad for nearly 40 years. His work is heard on recordings and in performances with today's top artists in jazz and contemporary music. Stasio completed undergraduate studies in Jazz Arranging and Film Scoring at Berklee College of Music and earned a Master of Music in Jazz Studies from Rutgers University’s Mason Gross School of the Arts. As professor and managing director of jazz studies at Rutgers Mason Gross, he specializes in jazz composition and arranging, improvisation, history, and jazz piano instruction.

Latest media projects include music production score prep for PBS productions including Sesame Street and Donkey Hodie and varied film and television house productions. Other works include large ensemble arrangements for pianist Orrin Evans, orchestral scores for Salsa legend Eddie Palmieri, ensemble and piano charts for pianist Michel Camilo, some of which featured at the 25th Anniversary Heineken Jazz Festival, custom scores for Conrad Herwig including his 2016 release, “Reflections” on the Criss Cross label and Herwig’s latest 2022 release, “The Latin Side of Charles Mingus” featuring Randy Brecker and Alex Sipiagin, as well as arrangements for the Moscow Jazz Orchestra and WDR Big Band.

Stasio is a member of The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP), The International Society of Jazz Arrangers and Composers (ISJAC), New Jersey Association for Jazz Education (NJAJE), Jazz Education Network (JEN), and the National Association for Music Education (NAfME).
