Pianist, composer, arranger, and educator Marc Stasio actively produces scores for hire, serves as jazz faculty, and has performed abroad for over 40 years. His work is heard in recordings and performances with today’s top jazz and contemporary music artists. Stasio completed undergraduate studies in Jazz Arranging at Berklee College of Music and earned a Master of Music in Jazz Studies from Rutgers University’s Mason Gross School of the Arts. As a professor of Jazz Studies at Rutgers, he specializes in jazz composition and arranging, improvisation, jazz history, and jazz piano studies.

Latest media projects include music production score prep for PBS productions including Sesame Street and varied film and television productions. Latest media projects include production score prep for PBS and other film and television ventures, large ensemble arrangements for pianist Orrin Evans and vocalist Dianne Reeves, orchestral scores for Salsa legend Eddie Palmieri, ensemble charts for pianist Michel Camilo, some of which featured at the 25th Anniversary Heineken Jazz Festival, custom scores for Conrad Herwig, including his 2016 release, “Reflections” on the Criss Cross label and Herwig’s latest 2022 release, “The Latin Side of Charles Mingus,” as well as international projects for the Moscow Jazz Orchestra and WDR Big Band

Stasio is affiliated with The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP), The International Society of Jazz Arrangers and Composers (ISJAC), the New Jersey Association for Jazz Education (NJAJE), and the Jazz Education Network (JEN).
